Robyn Francis is one of permaculture’s most experienced educators and facilitators, since 1984 she has conducted over 120 PDCs, plus hundreds of workshops and short courses ranging from bamboo building and botany to ecovillage design, community facilitation and advanced Permaculture teacher training.

Robyn is also an experienced facilitator of community participatory processes, transition workshops, and has developed a range of creative tools for participatory learning. One of the key architects of the Accredited Permaculture Training™ (APT) qualifications with the Australian accreditation authorities in 2003, and has designed the curricula and training programs for Certificate III, IV and Diploma courses at PCA.

Permaculture Design Course (PDC)

From Friday 4th July to Saturday 19th July 2014

The Permaculture Design Course is a 72 hours training in ecological theory and practice in the design of sustainable places and all the techniques needed to build such a place in harmony with the natural environment.

It offers a broad overview of topics related to the creation of sustainable environments and lifestyles: from ecological basics concerning plants, water, climate, soil, etc. to practical solutions in the areas of housing, infrastructure, energy, economic systems and social issues. A wide range of methods and techniques which support working on designs for sustainable surroundings will be conveyed to the participants. During design sessions in small groups, these methods and approaches can be internalized.

This course leads to an internationally recognized certification and is the foundation of any consistent practice. It is also, beyond the introductory courses, the entry point to advanced Permaculture training and can lead to a Permaculture degree.

Advanced course in Permaculture Design Skills

From Tuesday 22nd July to Monday 28th July 2014

This course provides the permaculturists engaged in the design of places in-depth design skills, covering areas such as graphics, customer relations, production of technical plans and project management. This course covers the transmission tools, business processes and know-how to create designs on a professional level.

This course is intended for permaculturists wishing to develop professional site design services.

Prerequisites: This course is reserved for holders of a PDC, Permaculture Design Certificate (from any certified Permaculture Design Course).

Advanced Permaculture Trainer and Facilitator Course

From Friday 1st August to Sunday 10th August 2014

This training aimed at permaculturists who intend to teach in the field of permaculture is based on the impressive experience of the Australian Robyn Francis, educator and one of the most famous pioneers of permaculture.

This course is intended for permaculture teachers, community activists and facilitators who want to lead permaculture courses, workshops or events. It offers thorough guidance to teaching and training techniques and reinforcing of permaculture principles and opportunities through all varied domains.

Prerequisites: This course is reserved for holders of a PDC, Permaculture Design Course Certificate (from any certified Permaculture Design Course).

Permaculture in Aid & Development

From Friday 15th August to Sunday 24th August 2014

This course is offered to all persons interested in any level of the Aid & Development world. It prepares a thorough grounding and basis of understanding of many of the elements and needs for successfully creating and applying sustainable solutions to any project at any scale to any community.

Prerequisites: This course is preferably for those who have completed a Permaculture Design Course but not limited to.
